2003/10 - Safety against theft - now available in label form

The new security label by tesa helps to prevent theft of goods within the logistic chain. It makes unauthorised opening of packages visible and provides security to shippers, forwarders and consignees that their shipments arrive intact and originally sealed. Customer dissatisfaction, expensive replacements and additional handling costs are avoided.

The security label complements the security system tesa 64007 that was successfully launched last year. The new label was especially developed for application on small packages as well as on shipping containers with different closing mechanisms.

tesa 64010 can be easily applied and exactly positioned on small packages by hand. The label seals the package securely and at the same time the tamper evident system deters thieves effectively: upon removal of the label the coloured inscription “opened” is displayed. This inscription remains clearly visible even after trying to reposition the label. This allows easy detection of unauthorised tampering at any stage of the logistic chain.

In addition tesa 64010 offers individual security: the label can be imprinted with individual company logo or other customer specified information. In this way the cartons are not only protected against unauthorised opening but also guarantee original packaging.
